Sanyo Components Direct

Sanyo Components Direct is a member of the Sanyo Group specializing in, and selling, laser Diodes directly to businesses. They recently decided to expand their operation to the web and chose Miva Merchant because of its enterprise level capabilities and ability to scale. Currently, they only sell a limited number of laser diodes but they plan to expand and sell their entire catalog of semiconductors and components online. We were given the task to create a simple but elegant site which breaks the mold of the plain, and sometimes boring, engineering and technically-focused websites. They wanted something which was easy on the eyes and also tied in the themes of nature and children throughout.

We provided them with a customized site specifically designed for their business to business needs. It has features such as order status / order tracking, volume pricing, purchase orders, and the ability to ship by using a customers UPS account number.

Pet Net Direct

Pet Net Direct is an online pet food and supply store based in New York City that has used Miva Merchant 4 for a number of years. While they really like the software, they were working with an ineffective web developer and no one to turn to for edits and Maintenance. We came in and re-created their current website with the new Miva Merchant 5.5. Because of the size of their existing Miva Merchant 4 store and the customizations they had, we were presented with a considerable challenge. However, the end result is a high end, robust Miva 5.5 website with a ton of new features and the ability to expand as big as their business can grow. The whole site-build and transfer was done with no downtime to their live store, which was a high priority. We also gave them an ongoing monthly maintenance plan so now they always have someone to turn to for help and support.

"Before" Some new features of their 5.5 Miva Merchant store include: search by manufacturer, newsletter signup (linked to their online mailing list software, related items, order history/order tracking, shipping costs displayed on basket page, additional checkout data, and county based tax rates.

We also integrated an advanced hosted search solution called Search Spring. This greatly improved their internal site search results allowing their customers to find what they are looking for much easier and faster.

These new features have helped create a better user experience for their customers, and also cut down on wasted administration time for them.

Quintessentially English

Quintessentially English is a UK based company which sells organic handmade beauty products, alternative medicines and home & garden gifts. They came to us with a broken Miva 4 site which had significant CSS and formatting errors. We upgraded them to Miva 5.5 and recreated their existing look and feel, while fixing all their errors. They now have a fully functional Miva 5 store which is ready to take advantage of all the new Miva Merchant 5.5 features. We were able to combine most of their static pages into Miva Merchant, making updating those pages much quicker and easier.

Quintessentially English shows how easy Miva Merchant can be adapted to use any currency and unit of measurement. Because they are based in the UK, their website sells items in British Pounds and uses the kilo as their unit of measurement. All these settings are managed from Miva's easy to use point and click admin interface.

Quintessentially English was built using only Miva Merchant's built in Store Morph Technology (SMT). This site is a great example of the power and flexibility of Miva Merchant's built in tools and features.

Rusty's Offroad

Rustysoffroad.com is a well established manufacturer of custom off-road components for the Jeep line of vehicles. They carry over 2,600 different products - most of them custom made at their warehouse in Colorado. Rusty's Offroad wanted to update the look and feel of their existing Miva Merchant 5 website, while making the site easier to navigate and more functional for their visitors.

Rusty's came to us with a design already laid out by their graphic designer. Because of the complexity of the design, they wanted to use the Miva Merchant Design and Development team to make sure they got exactly what they wanted - both visually and functionally.

"Before" The end result is a great looking Miva website which really takes advantage of everything Miva Merchant has to offer. Here are a few highlights of their new website:

• Complete redesign which not only looks great but is very functional as well.
• New completely CSS driven menu (and very SEO friendly)
• New control arms layout which organizes the products in a much better way. It is also dynamic (using the toolkit module) so maintenance is simple and easy.
• New product page which incorporates multiple product views, and a tabbed content area for better organization of the product information.
