Miva Merchant Empresa forms the backbone for the complete suite of Miva Merchant e-commerce solutions. As a server-side engine, Miva Merchant Empresa installs on both Unix-based and Windows web servers, and enables them to run Miva Merchant and other MivaScript-based web applications.
Applications running under Miva Merchant Empresa, such as Miva Merchant, execute in a sandboxed data and runtime environment. Special virtual domain and shared server features let busy site administrators create per user and per domain environments.

Miva Merchant Empresa 5 is compatible with Apache and Zeus on Unix servers, and IIS on Windows. The server must be capable of handling HTTPS requests / SSL communications.

Miva Merchant Empresa 5 is required for support of Miva Merchant 5 and other MivaScript 5 applications. Miva Merchant Empresa 5 is backward compatible with Miva Merchant 4.14 and above and other compiled MivaScript 4 applications.
