Why did you choose Miva Merchant?

"We have utilized Miva Merchant 4 for another customer's storefront that has operated flawlessly for 5 years, so we understood the modular possibilities with the Miva Merchant Platform. The new Verilux site design required a complex content management and design system that we needed to integrate with a storefront. The modules available for Miva Merchant were a huge plus and, although we do not use the cart as most do, we have been able to integrate to an ASP/SQL-based content management system."

What do you believe is the greatest advantage of Miva Merchant?

"One of the best 'features' of Miva Merchant is its modular access. Developers create modules for Miva Merchant and we simply review what module might work best in a certain situation and implement it by purchasing and installing the module - effectively upgrading our store's capabilities WHEN needed on the fly."

What were you looking for in an online shopping cart system?

"Our biggest concern was scalability and expansion capabilities (modules). We were moving from 4 yahoo stores (healthylight.com, veriluxbulbs.com, veriluxstore.com and a private CS storefront) as well as a corporate site (verilux.net) into one unified storefront (verilux.com) and did not fully understand all the needs of the customer once we merged 4 stores and a corporate site together."

What other shopping carts did you consider and why was Miva Merchant better?

"We looked at Shopsite, PDG Software, Monster Commerce, Storefront.net. Miva Merchant seemed better because we were experienced with a few of the others and like the open interface of the Admin"
