How To Add More Than One Image for A Product

Posted by Miva Merchant to Design & Development on June 22nd, 2010

Greetings all and welcome to the next installment of Matt’s Musings or Episode V: The Images Strike Back. This month we’re going to look at the product images and how to easily add more of them to the product page.

The additional product images will need to be sized to match the product’s full-size image, we will create the faux thumbnails through that dash of CSS.

To ensure that Miva Merchant upgrades won’t change or break the look & feel of your store, all new updates never make any template changes to existing stores. Here’s a little help to smooth the process as you go in and make the changes yourself.

This guide assumes you have already upgraded your store to Miva Merchant 5.5 PR7 (Wombat) through the admin.

Show Me The Links: Real Life Link Building

Posted by Miva Merchant to Marketing Tips on June 9th, 2010

Building links for BTB Sites - Roger Montti

1. Target Searching - target sites that link to relevant resources

ex: use allintitle: “relevant keyword” resources site:.org
tip: add search modifier if more than 1,000 results to find hidden opportunities

2. Backlink trolling - monitor other sites for links; better from related sites and NOT competitors. You want sites not linking to your competitors.

ex: linkdomain:relatedsite.com -site:relatedsite.com “sponsors”

3. Association Memberships - many member sites link to members.

tip: search for member lists, restrict to .org sometimes
