Are Abandoning Shoppers Your Untapped Opportunity?

Posted by Miva Merchant to Optimization & Testing on June 18th, 2010

This is a guest post by Heather Dawson, Chief Customer Officer of Runa. The author’s views are entirely his or her own and may not reflect the views of Miva Merchant.

If you could increase your sales by 25% in 10 minutes with no risk, no commitment and no development changes to your site would you try it?

That’s what strategic partner Runa offers to the Miva Merchant community.  Over the past year we launched our Lost Sales Recovery Service for Miva Merchants that turns abandoning shoppers into incremental sales.  Runa is a combination service that has both powerful analytics that detect abandoners, and an offer presentment capability that delivers offers in real-time to abandoners before they leave your site so that they buy now.  The end result is incremental sales from shoppers who weren’t going to buy.

Today there are more than 40 Miva Merchants who are using Runa’s ‘First Time Buyer’ cart abandonment campaign to increase their sales with week on week results.  They are seeing sales lifts for their online business anywhere from 6% to 100%.  Results are controlled by the merchant’s business rules set up in the Runa dashboard.

Getting Started is easy:

  • Free Miva Merchant Module installs Runa in 10 minutes
  • Special Offer 30 day free trial if you start before July 4, 2010
  • Runa has a pay for performance business model

Rick Wilson and I recently presented a webinar to the community, outlining how Runa works, and what the results have been for the Miva Merchants who are using our service.  You can view a recording of this webinar.

The partnership between Runa and Miva Merchant includes the commitment to deliver a tightly integrated complete solution that will continue to be enhanced as both Runa and Miva Merchant add capabilities.  In the near term, we will be rolling out these enhancements:

  • Enhanced integration with Miva Merchant platform
    • Runa offers will be handled in the cart like other discounts/coupons
    • Support for offers at the attribute level
  • Enhanced results reporting in the Runa dashboard
  • Support for additional promotions like free shipping

Remember the special offer 30 day free trial ends on July 4, 2010.
